What we read from the page, and what only Meta can see
Every Facebook page shows its follower count publicly, and for two of the three programs that number is the whole published test. Stars opens at 500 followers held for 30 days. Subscriptions opens at 5,000. So the count on the page tells you, without guessing, whether either one is within reach.
What no outside tool can read is the rest: your standing with the Partner Monetization Policies, your age, and whether the account is in professional mode. Those live in your Professional dashboard and nowhere else. Your country matters too, and that part Meta does publish, so it's further down this page. Checkers that print a percentage score for any link you paste, including links to pages that don't exist, are making those numbers up. We show a dash instead.
In-stream ads ended. Here is what replaced it.
The 10,000 followers and 600,000 minutes viewed that most guides still quote were the requirements for in-stream ads. Meta shut that program down on 31 August 2025, together with Ads on Reels and the Performance Bonus. Its replacement, Facebook Content Monetization, pays for the performance of public reels, photos, Stories and text posts, and it is invite-only. Meta publishes no follower minimum for it. Invitations show up in the Professional dashboard; there is an interest form, but Meta says it is not an application. The last piece of the old setup, in-stream ads for Live, ended on 15 June 2026.
That is why the checker doesn't score ad eligibility. No public number decides it any more, and any tool claiming otherwise is scoring a program that no longer exists.
Is Facebook monetization available in your country?
Meta keeps a separate country list for each program, and the lists don't match. A country can be open for Stars and closed for everything else. India is on all three. Bangladesh has Stars and Content Monetization ads, but not Subscriptions. Pakistan has Stars only; it isn't on Meta's lists for the other two.
Not in the list? Then Meta doesn't open any of the three programs there yet.
For Content Monetization the language counts as well as the country: a reel earns from ads only if it's in one of the languages Meta lists, which include Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil and Telugu. Meta warns that reels mixing several languages may not qualify. Stars has a list on the other side too: viewers in Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia and Syria can't send Stars at all.

Meta puts an asterisk after 11 of them (Assamese, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Hebrew, Japanese, Khmer, Oriya (Odia), Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Urdu) and doesn't say what it means.

Stars and Subscriptions thresholds
Stars needs 500 followers held for 30 consecutive days, and viewers can then send you Stars worth $0.01 each. Subscriptions lets fans pay monthly, and it needs 5,000 followers on a Page or a profile in professional mode. In September 2026 Meta dropped the older test that many guides still quote: 10,000 followers or 250 returning viewers, plus 60 days of watch minutes or post engagements.

Both programs also require the baseline: 18 or older, a country on that program's list, and a clean record against the Partner Monetization Policies. For Stars, Meta also excludes accounts that mostly post content about children. These rules come from the Meta Business Help Center, checked on 29 September 2026. Even a page that meets every number still goes through Meta's policy review first, so treat the thresholds as necessary rather than sufficient. - Nobody outside Meta can see a page's monetization status. What you can check is whether the page clears the thresholds Meta publishes: paste the page link above and we compare its public follower count with them. The page owner sees the real status in Meta Business Suite under Monetization.
- How many followers do you need to monetize a Facebook page?
- 500 followers, held for 30 days in a row, for Stars. 5,000 followers for Subscriptions. Content Monetization, the program that replaced in-stream ads, is invite-only and has no published follower minimum.
- Is this Facebook monetization checker free?
